The 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning has also made Popular Science‘s Top 100 New Technologies of 2021 list in the Automotive category. The F-150 Lightning made this prestigious list thanks to its impressive stats, which include up to 563 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque, a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds, up to 10,000 pounds of max towing, 9.6 kW of portable power, as much as 300 miles of range, and a 150-kilowatt fast charger that can add an additional 54 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
“When we set out to electrify the F-150, we were so excited about the prospect of delivering the most innovative truck Ford has ever built,” said Linda Zhang, F-150 Lightning chief engineer. “We wanted to provide some shock and awe to our customers in a way they’d never seen from a truck before.”
